COMMUNITY Oncology Initiatives
S.S Hospital
At S.S. Hospital, we believe that transforming the oncological landscape in India requires collective action, especially through Community Oncology. Our primary focus is on awareness, cancer education, prevention, and early detection—critical elements in the fight against cancer.
Understanding the importance of reaching underserved populations, the hospital has launched numerous initiatives targeting economically disadvantaged and less-educated communities. We regularly organize training programs for educators and volunteers, with a special emphasis on engaging schools, colleges, and academic institutions across Bihar and neighboring regions.
To broaden our reach, S.S. Hospital has implemented ongoing Outreach Programs to bring cancer education and screening to remote and rural areas. Our Tobacco Cessation Programme, operational for over six years, has established a strong presence in several nodal regions of the state. This initiative has significantly improved public awareness and contributed to an increased number of people participating in regular cancer screenings and check-ups.
Over the years, our Community Oncology efforts have touched millions of lives across Bihar and adjoining states. With continued support from healthcare professionals and oncologists, the program continues to grow—expanding its reach and impact in hard-to-access areas.
